RAM completely redesigned it's signature 1500 last year, and it continues to be one of our favorite pickups. No matter what trim of the RAM 1500 you choose, you are assured that it will come with outstanding driving dynamics, technologically advanced equipment, and one of the unique rear suspensions in the class. If you want your truck to be a truck, the RAM comes with some class-leading numbers when it comes to towing and hauling. Under the hood, you can choose between either a 3.6-liter V6, a 5.7-liter V8, or the all-new diesel-powered 3.0-liter V6 know as the EcoDiesel. The cabin is where RAM dominates as it comes with comfortable seats, high-quality materials, and an easy-to-use infotainment system. Tradesman
The entry-level Tradesman, like most trims, comes with your choice of either a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out an impressive 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque or a 5.7-liter V8 with 395 horses and 410 lb-ft of torque. The V6 comes standard with an eTorque system to improve fuel economy, which is optional on the V8. The last engine is the 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel with 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. All engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. When adequately equipped, the RAM 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds. As for features, the Tradesman has 18-inch steel wheels and some niceties such as a 5-inch touchscreen, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and push-button start. You also get trailer sway damping and a six-speaker stereo.

HFE
The HFE builds off the Tradesman with 20-inch chrome wheels with low-rolling-resistance tires, side steps, a tonneau cover, a carpeted floor, and front bucket seats.

Big Horn and Rebel
Going with the Big Horn adds even more exciting features such as 18-inch aluminum wheels, foglights, and either an 8.4 or 12-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get premium cloth seating, striking chrome accents, a power driver's seat, and a Sport Appearance package that has body-color front and rear bumpers, a body-color grille and monochromatic paint. More off-road features can be had with the Rebel, which has an electronic locking rear axle, four skid plates, all-terrain tires, LED headlamps, taillamps, and fog lamps.

Laramie
The most luxury items are available for the Laramie, where the 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen is standard, as is navigation. You also get 20-inch wheels and power mirrors and rear window. Leather-trimmed seats are also standard, and they are heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable. There are also driver assistance features such as forward collision warning and lane-keeping assist. Optional is a Night Appearance Package with black-colored styling elements.

Longhorn
Next up is the Longhorn, which adds premium-leather bucket seats, a leather-wrapped wood steering wheel, and a spray-in bedliner. There is also a southwestern style with premium leather and real Barnwood accents. Class-exclusive features such as a rear seat fold-down center console and available reclining rear seats are also available.

Limited
Top-level RAM 1500 Limited's come with sharp chrome trim, a standard four-corner suspension, corrugated mesh grille, power running boards, and a premium Harmon Kardon 19-speaker audio system which is the most speakers in the class.
