2019 Ram 1500 vs 2019 Chevrolet Silverado near Midland, TX

There are many reasons to be looking at a full-size pickup truck. Not only are they perfect for a business, but they also give you capabilities that are perfect for day-to-day life. The hard part is, which full-size truck should you be driving home in? We'll be comparing two of the top competitors in the segment to figure out which one can truly do it all. These trucks include the 2019 Ram 1500 and the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. The Ram 1500 has been completely redesigned in the 2019 model year, with added space in the rear-seats, a new mild hybrid power system, an increase in towing and payload, and reduction in weight to improve fuel economy. The other truck we're looking at, the 2019 Silverado, has also been redesigned. It offers a longer cabin, a new easy-to-use touchscreen, and a few powertrain options. To find out which of these vehicles you should be buying, keep reading down below!

2019 Ram 1500 Power & Handling

The Ram 1500 not only comes with great style, it also features two amazing engines. The first engine is a 3.6-liter V6, which can produce around 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The optional engine is the well-known 5.7-liter HEMI V8, which packs a punch of 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Both of these engines work alongside an eight-speed automatic transmission. You'll also notice an eTorque mild-hybrid system, which helps to further boost the amazing fuel economy! You'll be able to choose from two-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado Power & Handling

On the other side of things, the 2019 Silverado offers an almost overwhelming amount of engine options. You'll be able to choose from engines like a 4.3-liter V6, a 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, a 5.3-liter V8, and a 6.2-liter V8. Throughout these engines, you'll find three transmissions, a six-speed automatic, an eight-speed automatic, and a ten-speed automatic. Two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive can be found offered on a few different trims. While it is always great to have engine options, it seems overkill when the Ram 1500 produces amazing results with two reliable engines.

2019 Ram 1500 Features & Design
