Power of the 2022 Ram 1500
Year after year, the Ram 1500 has some of the most impressive engine lineups on the planet, and in 2022 the tradition continues. Most trims will come with a powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers an impeccable 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. If that's not enough power for you, you can opt for the 5.7-liter V8 that kicks out an astonishing 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. With the V6, the Ram 1500 has an eTorque system with a 48-volt battery which improves the fuel economy and stop/start capability. This system is optional for the V8 engine. If diesel power is what you're after, the Ram 1500 has it as it comes with an optional 3.0-liter turbodiesel that makes 260 horsepower and an astounding 480 lb-ft of torque. Finally, we can't talk about the Ram 1500 without talking about the TRX, which was introduced last year and brings back its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that kicks out 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. These engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and when fully equipped, the Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds with a payload capacity of 2,300 pounds.
The Amazing Features of the Ram 1500
Not only is the Ram 1500 one of the most potent pickups ever assembled, but it's also very well equipped. All versions of the Ram 1500 come with 18-inch wheels, a 23-gallon gas tank, active grille shutters, coil-spring suspension, trailer-sway control, as well as heated front seats, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The most exciting thing about the Ram 1500 is its excellent special editions. We are the most excited about the Limited Tenth-Anniversary Edition, which comes with 22-inch alloy wheels, quilted leather upholstery, suede headliner, jeweled shifter knob, and a 19-speaker audio system. In addition, all trims of the Ram 1500 come with the Ram's Clean Air System that filters out 95% of all airborne particles and is one of the cleanest cabins ever created.
Advanced Tech for the Ram 1500
Tech for the Ram 1500 has always been advanced, and the 2022 version is no exception. On the Big Horn trim and above, drivers will be excited about the Uconnect system that is four times faster than the previous version and can hold three times as much memory. Additionally, there are several notable features available such as an onboard Wi-Fi system and tow-specific navigation. This entire system comes in brilliantly via the 12-inch touchscreen that has large icons and easy-to-use touch controls. You also have the option of a Trailer Tow Group with LED lights that will illuminate the trailer hitch area right above the humongous pickup. You will get help backing up via the electronic trailer reverse steering control.
