Dodge has announced its first-ever plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), the Dodge Hornet R/T. The all-new 2023 Hornet R/T features a four-cylinder turbocharged engine and a rear axle-mounted electric motor powered by a rechargeable battery pack. Chrysler has had the Pacifica Hybrid in their lineup for a few years now, pairing a 3.6L V6 with two electric motors and a rechargeable battery pack. Jeep now has two PHEV models, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe. Jeep’s 4xe system features a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a battery pack recharged by an external power source.
