Welcome to Star CDJR of Big Spring in Big Spring, Texas. We're driven to get you into the car or truck of your dreams. We're driven to outsell those other dealers, because we think you deserve the STAR treatment!

Mike Dunnahoo or as his associates like to call him “Mr. D” leads with Integrity, Teamwork, Consistency, Customer Service and Community every day. In fact, those are the Star Family of Dealership’s Core values, and he strives to make sure that he and his employees always follows these values. Mike has over 45 years of being in the automotive industry and he knows what it takes to build a community driven dealership. Mike started in the industry in 1972, after a neighbor mentioned he had "the gift of gab" and should take interest in a career in sales. It was then that he ventured into the car industry, working at a dealership in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He was then promoted to President and Partner of Mike Dunnahoo Buick in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Mike knew he belonged back in Texas, so after a few years in Oklahoma he moved back to Texas and worked as a consultant to over 20 top dealers throughout the United States. In 1999 Mike had the opportunity to move to Abilene and since then Star has been named the "Top 100 Best Dealerships to Work For" in 2012, 2014 and 2016 ranked as high as number 15. Star has been a Chrysler Elite Dealership and has continued to win the JD Power Customer First awards. In 2015, Star expanded in West Texas opening a New Star Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram Dealership in Big Spring Texas. Mike's focus is always involving the community into the business as much as possible and incorporating his personable attitude into the way of our culture and business.

Mike has always been a giver whether it is for his family, his employees or his community. He has been a member of many boards across the community such as Abilene Planning and Zoning, the AISD School Board Bond Committee, Abilene City Bond Committee, Abilene Industrial Foundation, P-16 Council and Abilene Education Foundation. He has also represented the chamber's military affairs committee, past chairman of the chamber, Texas Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America and past executive board member of United Way of Abilene. In the past decade, his family has been fighting breast cancer and is an advocate for this as well as for many other non-profits. As the 2013 Abilene Businessperson of the Year, he is always honored to represent West Texas and the auto retail Industry.
