What engines come with the 2021 Dodge Charger?
With the Charger being such a high-performance car, it's expected to have an extensive engine lineup; and it does! Standard under the hood of the SXT and GT trims is a 3.6L V6 engine that pushes out 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, plenty of power for the needs of an everyday driver. The V6 engine can be mated to an optional all-wheel-drive system which cranks these numbers up to 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. A 5.7L HEMI V8 comes under the hood of the R/T trims kicking out 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. Exclusive to the Scat Pack is a 6.4L V8 engine that cranks out 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. The Hellcat comes with an exhilarating 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque from a supercharged 6.2L V8. Lastly, the Hellcat Redeye houses a high-output supercharged 6.2L V8 that rips out 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque, making it the fastest and most powerful production vehicle on the market. All 2021 Charger engines are mated to the robust TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission.
