What kind of engine options are offered for the Grand Cherokee L?
Jeep offers two engines to power the all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, both of which have won a number of awards. The standard engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that pumps out up to 290 horsepower and 257 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes equipped with variable valve timing and engine start-stop technology to reduce fuel waste. When it comes to towing, this engine is capable of hauling up to 6,200 pounds of cargo. The second engine offered, a 5.7-liter V8, creates up to 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. With engine start-stop technology, cylinder-shut off technology, and variable valve timing, this engine also works to reduce fuel waste. This engine can also tow up to 7,200 pounds.
Can you talk about the Grand Cherokee L’s off-roading capabilities?
When it comes to off-roading technology and capabilities, Jeep did not skimp when loading up the Grand Cherokee L. This beast offers three, that’s right, three 4x4 systems and they are all outfitted with an active transfer case. Other off-roading capabilities include 24-inches of water fording capabilities so nothing on the trail can hold you back, the brand’s Selec-Terrain Traction Management System that offers five modes, and the Quadra-Lift Suspension.
Could you talk about some of the new technology features found in the Grand Cherokee L?
Jeep is offering the Grand Cherokee L in four trim levels and each is outfitted with the latest features that not only keep passengers safe but also connected and comfortable. The SUV’s dashboard boasts a 10.1” touchscreen that gives the driver and front passenger access to the latest Uconnect infotainment system as well as smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, and satellite radio. Helping drivers keep their hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road is a head-up display.
