2021 Jeep Wrangler vs Ford Bronco Big Spring TX
2021 Jeep Wrangler vs Ford Bronco
Getting yourself the best off-roading SUV in the automotive world doesn’t have to be as tricky or stressful as you think. At our dealership, our goal has always been to educate our customers so they know that they are making the right decision. That is why we are going to be taking the time to compare the 2021 Jeep Wrangler and the 2021 Ford Bronco. The Wrangler makes sure that a mark has been made, especially with the addition of an available plug-in hybrid model, an optional TrailCam, and even Off-Road Plus on the Rubicon trim. You’ll still get an available diesel engine, and open-air driving. The Ford Bronco is all-new in 2021, giving you a unique style, two- and four-door body styles, and great ground clearance. Keep reading to find out which of these SUVs we recommend.
2021 Jeep Wrangler Power & Handling
One of the most important things that we can go over with you is the engine lineup that is available to choose from with the 2021 Wrangler. There are four different options here. The base one is a 3.6-liter V6, which produces 260 lb-ft of torque and 285 horsepower. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual, though most of the time, and throughout the rest of the lineup, you’ll find an eight-speed automatic. Another engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, which outputs 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. You’ll also find a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, creating 442 lb-ft of torque and 260 hp. The final engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4, with electric motors.
2021 Ford Bronco Power & Handling
Unlike the Wrangler which comes in multiple engine options, only two powertrains can be found with the 2021 Bronco. The transmission varies between a seven-speed manual or a ten-speed automatic. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-4, which can produce 310 pound-feet of torque and 270 horsepower. The other available engine is a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6, which outputs 400 pound-feet of torque and 310 horsepower. We aren’t nearly as impressed with this lineup as we want to be.
2021 Jeep Wrangler Features & Design
Even after you’ve figured out the engine that you want the most, now is the time to see the standard and available features that you can find. Some of the standard features include a Sunrider folding soft-top, Command-Trac part-timed 4WD, and a five-inch Uconnect display. Some of the available features include air conditioning, power heated side mirrors, automatic headlights, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Dana 44 axles, dual-zone automatic climate control, all-terrain tires, an electronically controlled disconnecting sway bar, and a LED overhead cargo light.
2021 Ford Bronco Features & Design
The Bronco tries to bring it home with its standard and available features. Some of the standard features include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, differential lock, traction control, modular hard top, and 8.3-inches of ground clearance. Some of the available features include a high-clearance suspension, a front stabilizer bar disconnect, a 2-speed electromechanical transfer case, and Bilstein position-sensitive shocks.
Conclusion:
We believe that at this point the winner is fairly clear. While the Bronco is the newer model, the Wrangler has proven that it can absolutely take anyone head-on and still win. With the amazing engine lineup and all of the impressive features, you can’t look at the Wrangler and do anything but smile.
