How Powerful are the 2022 Dodge Challenger’s Engine Options?
For the 2022 Dodge Challenger lineup, there are six incredible engines to choose from, depending on your desired trim level! The standard engine can be found on the SXT and GT, and that is the 3.6-liter V6 engine rated at 303 horsepower, and 268 lb-ft of torque. Notably, the SXT and GT also offer available AWD for extra traction! If you go for the R/T, you’ll be treated to a 5.7-liter V8 engine paired with either an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. The R/T Scat Pack kicks things up a notch with the 6.4-liter V8 engine that delivers 485 horsepower, and 475 lb-ft of torque. There are also two Hellcat variations, the SRT Hellcat, and the SRT Hellcat Redeye. They both feature a version of the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8, the first of which kicks out 717 horsepower and 656 lb-ft of torque, and the second of which is upgraded to produce 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. The top tier of the Challenger lineup is the SRT Super Stock, with its uniquely calibrated 6.2-liter V8 that delivers 807 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. The new Jailbreak Edition also shares this same legendary engine.
