Jeep has some new and exciting things up its sleeve for the 2022 model year. For the first time ever, Jeep is introducing a new offshoot of their core brand, dedicated to luxury large SUVs. The 2022 Grand Wagoneer is one of two vehicles to debut in this new collection, and this SUV is unlike anything we’ve seen from Jeep thus far. The Grand Wagoneer is based on the original model released in 1984, but the 2022 version is fully redesigned, updated, and ready to enter the 21st century as a new take on a modern classic. The Grand Wagoneer will feature a total of four trim levels, the Series I, II, III, and Obsidian. Each one is loaded with new and exciting features, as well as three rows of seats for up to eight passengers. This is a new premium large SUV that the whole family is sure to love!

The Grand Wagoneer upholds Jeep’s long-standing reputation for powerful and highly capable vehicles. Each trim level of the Grand Wagoneer is powered by a robust 6.4-liter V-8 engine, which produces 471 horsepower and 455 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is paired to a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, and also benefits from Fuel Saver Technology cylinder deactivation for enhanced fuel efficiency. In terms of capability, the Grand Wagoneer has a best-in-class towing capacity of nearly 10,000 pounds with the help of the Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Package. The Advanced Off-Road Group optimizes performance even more with the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System, Hill-Descent Control, tow hooks, skid plates, and much more.
What are the Grand Wagoneer’s Design Features?
The Grand Wagoneer has a strong yet elegant presence on the road, featuring a signature seven-slot grille accented with a knurled diamond-cut pattern. Inside, the three-row seating is upholstered in Nappa leather standard on the Series I trim, with upper trims featuring quilted Palermo leather trim. Heating and ventilation is offered for the first two rows of seats, with the front seats also receiving 24-way power adjustment, memory settings, and even a massage feature. The interior is calm and serene thanks to the windshield’s acoustic noise-canceling glass, while customizable ambient LED lighting casts a soft glow along the dashboard. Getting in and out of the Grand Wagoneer is easy thanks to the Tip n’ Slide feature of the second-row seats, as well as power side-steps that automatically deploy when the doors are opened.
