Every trim level of the Compass comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out a solid 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. If you go with the Sport or the Latitude trim front-wheel-drive comes standard, but all-wheel-drive is available for when weather is less than ideal. On the Limited and Trailhawk trims, all-wheel-drive comes standard. Front-wheel-drive comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, and those with all-wheel-drive will have a nine-speed automatic transmission, both of which will get you a smooth ride!
