What's under the hood of the Compass?
The Compass is well-equipped everywhere, and that includes under the hood! Every trim level of the Compass comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out a solid 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. If you go with the Sport or the Latitude trim front-wheel-drive comes standard, but all-wheel-drive is available for when weather is less than ideal. On the Limited and Trailhawk trims, all-wheel-drive comes standard. Front-wheel-drive comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, and those with all-wheel-drive will have a nine-speed automatic transmission, both of which will get you a smooth ride!
What are some of the features of the Compass?
Five trims are available for the Compass, and each one is stacked with features even at the base trim. That base trim is the Sport which comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated mirrors, roof rails, rear air vents, an adjustable load floor, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen that adds a wonderful Uconnect 5 system and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You get more advanced features with the Latitude trim, which has luxury items such as premium cloth/vinyl seats, a leather shift knob, ambient interior lighting, 17-inch alloy wheels, and automatic headlights. There are also a ton of available options for the Latitude, including a wireless charger, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control. New to the Compass lineup this year is the Latitude Lux trim which is aptly named with features such as leather and heated front seats, 18-inch wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote start, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen. How safe is the Compass?
