Meet the All-New Charger Daytona
The next-generation Dodge Charger is breaking barriers as the world's first fully electric muscle car, combining legendary performance with cutting-edge technology. Built on the advanced STLA Large platform, these new Charger models are designed specifically for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and engineered to deliver incredible power and versatility. At the heart of the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona is a 400-volt propulsion system paired with an all-wheel-drive setup, giving you that iconic V8-like power with zero emissions and instant torque. This system includes a high-capacity 100.5 kWh battery pack, dual integrated charge modules, and electric drive modules (EDMs) on both the front and rear axles. Each EDM packs a punch with its 3-in-1 design, combining the motor, gearbox, and inverter to produce 335 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. To make every drive more efficient and thrilling, the front EDM features a disconnect system to improve range when needed, while the rear EDM comes equipped with a mechanical limited-slip differential for superior traction and control. Plus, with a peak discharge rate of 550 kW, the Charger Daytona delivers jaw-dropping power during quarter-mile sprints, ensuring you feel every bit of that electric muscle performance. The future of muscle cars has arrived—and it's more powerful, efficient, and exciting than ever before.
Will There Be a Gas-Powered Charger?
Following the introduction of the all-electric Charger Daytona, Dodge introduced the Charger SIXPACK, the gas-powered variant of the next-gen muscle car. At the center of the Charger SIXPACK is Dodge's all-new Hurricane engine—a 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline-six that delivers V8-like performance with a focus on improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions. Instead of the now-discontinued thirsty 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI V8 engines, the Hurricane uses two low-inertia, twin-scroll turbochargers to force more compressed air into the engine. More air means more fuel—and that combination means more power. The Hurricane engine comes in two versions: standard output and high output. The standard output cranks out an impressive 420 horsepower, easily surpassing the old 375-horsepower 5.7L HEMI V8. For thrill-seekers, the high-output version pushes the limits with a massive 550 horsepower, replacing the 475-horsepower 6.4L V8 from the Scat Pack. Both the Charger SIXPACK and Charger Daytona will be available in two-door and four-door models, depending on the power level. For example, the standard-output SIXPACK comes as a four-door, while the high-output version takes on a sportier two-door design.
