The first trim level available is the Latitude, which, like all versions of the Cherokee, is available with three engine options. Coming standard is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes a comfortable 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. Optional is a 3.2-liter V6 that pumps out an incredible 271 horses and 239 lb-ft of torque or the wonderful 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 295 lb-ft of torque and 270 horsepower. All of these engines provide you with a nine-speed automatic transmission that gives you a smooth ride. Standard is front-wheel-drive, but the Cherokee does give you the option of all-wheel-drive if you choose. As for features, the Latitude comes with power front windows, exterior mirrors with a heating element, supplemental turn signals, courtesy lamps, a rearview camera, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Next is the Latitude Plus, which adds to the Latitudes list of options with more luxurious features such as heated front seats, premium-wrapped heated steering wheel, remote start, keyless entry, and push-button start. There are also plenty of options for the Latitude Plus such as dual-zone climate control, a power liftgate, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Blind-Spot Monitoring System comes standard. 

At the midway point of the Cherokee lineup is the Latitude LUX, which adds to the extensive features list with Nappa leather seats, power front seats with power lumbar adjuster, and a windshield wiper de-icer.  You also get the 3.2-liter V6 engine standard with remote vehicle start and several safety systems such as Lane Departure Warning and a Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning. There is also an 80th-anniversary edition that builds off the LUX with 19-inch wheels with Granite Crystal finish, power front seats with lumbar, dual-zone automatic temperature control, remote start, Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen radio, and a  7-inch full-color thin-film transistor. 

The fourth of the five trim levels of the Cherokee is the Limited, which comes an upgraded driver display in the gauge cluster, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. You also get a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, auto high-beam headlamps, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist with Full Stop, and ParkSense front/rear park assist with rear stop. There is also a premium Nappa leather interior, which further adds to the luxury. 

Last up is the off-road-ready Trailhawk, which comes with an advanced all-wheel-drive system, wider wheels and all-terrain tires, and increased ground clearance. You also get off-road-oriented suspension tuning, a locking rear differential, hill ascent and descent control, skid plates, and tow hooks.
